I have really enjoyed Riyria. (Both the chronicles and revelations) but you mention Royce's and Hadrian 's childhoods. Is it possible for you to go back and write about the time before they teamed up? Thanks, from Nathan Ownbey

Hey Nathan,
Thanks for asking. I'd like to write some of those stories, but the problem is one of prioritization. I have more stories running around in my head than I'll be able to finish before a kick the bucket, so whether I'll get to these or not is hard to say. Here is my current run down of "near term" books.
1. The Death of Dulgath (Riyria Chronicle #3) - out in ebook, print and audio will be released in December.
2. Age of Myth (First Empire #1) - scheduled for a June 2016 release.
3. The First Empire books 2 - 5 - all written but still need a lot of editing work, beta feedback, publisher input, and so forth. This is what I'm currently working on.
4. The Fall of Percepliquis (Esrahaddon's back story) - I want to get to this sooner rather than later as I could see a whole new series being spun from this following Nerik and Jerish while they are "on the lamb"
5. Untitled - a book I've plotted out but haven't yet started writing - it' based in Elan's future
6. Hollow World sequel - also plotted and just not gotten around to.
7. Untitled - a new science fiction series - I think it'll be three books.
8. Untitled - Horror boo that I've started "thinking about" and is getting to be pretty interesting to me.
9. Another riyria Chronicle - assuming feedback form Death of Dulgath indicates people want more.
These projects are all much further along than any book that goes back to Royce and Hadrian's youth. If I get the other "Elan" books wrapped then I could see this as a possibility.
Thanks for asking...you are not the only one asking this, so there is probably a demand for a book (or books) about this.

That is so insightful. Now for the hard ones....Dragonlance by Weis and Hickman? Influential or not? Now I have to know....is Beatrice, even remotely based upon anyone you know? (your wife?) Do you identify with any one of your characters over another (please don't say Nyphron!) Thank you for the replies and your stories. Love your wife's thoughts at the end. So, so cool! Hooked.
