Hola, Melanie! I've enjoyed your books (unfortunately I've only read two) and I was wondering when you started writing. I will be 17 in a couple months and I enjoy writing, but I've never quite finished a book and sometimes it's challenging. Was it easy writing your first book? And do you have any tips? (Oh, and Mulan would be a cool story, if you ever want to write it, but I'll leave that up to you and God) Thanks!!

Hola, Queen! I loved to write when I was a teen. Please do read my answer to Victoria I just wrote a few moments ago on how to go about being a successful writer. Was it easy writing my first book? Well, I wrote my first book, I think, when I was around 14, I think. I didn't know what I was doing, so I just wrote. I guess my biggest tip for you would be to already know at least some of the main plot points before you start writing. If you know how the story should end and some of the plot twists in the middle, you may find it easier to finish the story. However, I will emphasize that every writer's process is different. What works for one writer won't work at all for another. But that is my suggestion, if you are having trouble finishing a book. Figure out how it will end, a few main scenes along the way, and you may find it easier to write it. That's what works for me, anyway! Happy writing! P.S. Another tip is to relax and enjoy it! Don't take it too seriously, just write what makes you happy. You can always revise later and improve it, change what needs to be changed, etc. I hope that helps you!
