The original idea for Trick or Zombie Treat was people transforming into actual versions of their costumes on Halloween. From there, I tried to think of what the coolest costumes would be. I wasn't planning on writing a "zombie book", but if just one person was dressed as a zombie, they'd infect others, and it would turn into an outbreak-- hence Trick or Zombie Treat.
