Goodreads asked Courage Knight:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Courage Knight My most recent book was the non-fiction, "Do It Yourself Editing, A Guide for the EBook Author." I edit books for Blushing Books Publications, and I felt like I was telling new authors the same information. Also, I felt that too many of the Amish Romances I read on my Kindle were just horribly edited - like not edited at all. I hoped that more authors would take pride in their work, and act a little more professional. When you write your first draft, do not stop to edit it! The first draft is the time to let the creative juices flow uninterrupted. But in the revision process, you'd better be looking for grammar and punctuation issues, sentence structure, trite phrases or cliches, and anything else that will affect your book's readability. When we read fiction, we want to escape into the world you have created, and identify with your characters. Anything weird that you do - poor spelling, poor dialect, missing punctuation - rips us out of the reading zone, and that's a bad thing. Don't lose your readers!
