Shanti asked Rachael Craw:

Hi Rachael, I'm currently reading Stray (and it's pretty awesome so far) and I was wondering how you go about researching for your novels. Do you have a process, or find out about things as you encounter them in your writing?

Rachael Craw Hiya, Shanti:
Great question. For Stray I didn't need to do any research because I was simply building on what I had already established in Spark. For Spark I did some basic research on DNA and frequency/radiowaves and correct terms of measurement and a little bit of physics but mostly I just let my brain go for it creatively. I spent a lot of time checking correct terminology for accuracy and authenticity. Mostly, I research as I go, when things crop up. Thanks for your taking the time to ask and I'm so pleased you are enjoying Stray :-D
