Typically if I'm experiencing writer's block, I walk away from the story for a little bit. Sometimes my break lasts a day or two and sometimes it lasts for a couple weeks, but I try not to force a story to come to me, I feel like the readers would be able to tell and it would reflect poorly on my writing.
