I read Childhoods end when I was a young adult and loved it . I am planning on reading it again. I am wondering if you all think that it would qualify as a good read aloud book? I am a dorm parent for grades 7,8 and 9 at a boarding school. now that the weather is getting cozier I am going to start reading for 20-30 min before lights out. Any thoughts? suggestions?

I would stick with choices with at least one teenage character to help hold their interest. If you want classic science-fiction, "Z for Zachariah" or "Ender's Game" would appeal to that age.(less)
