I believe Manon's lines in HoF are vital for the plot...
I'm quite interested, actually, but yeah, at the start I had the urge to skip reading those Manon and the witches parts.
But I can feel this is important for the story, and I was afraid I'd miss something crucial, so I read on. It turns out, I enjoyed it.

I agree, I found it boring and long but I didn't want to skip for fear I'd miss something. I'm sure her story is part of the bigger plot, it better be anyway for all that wasted time it took to read her parts!

I just finished reading the 3rd book and at first I wasn't interested in reading Manon's story also. But as I read it further it became really interesting for me. I find myself cheering for her (sorry, good guys) and her wyvern on some parts of their story. Now, I'm really curious as to what her future adventures are...
