Hello Cornelia, I know I'm stating the obvious, but i really do LOVE YOUR BOOKS A LOT . In fact, I'm so thankful to you, because the Inkheart trilogy is what got me started on reading (I'm a complete book nerd now). Here's my question: Which character did you enjoy writing the most in the Inkheart trilogy, which one is your favourite and which one do you identify with the most ? (<3 Dustfinger xD)
Cornelia Funke
I am so thrilled I made you a book addict, Devika!:) As for the Inkheart characters- yes, Dustfinger is definitely a favorite, but I LOVE to write many of them (I am currently writing a sequel and it's so wonderful to meet them all again) Elinor is as much fun as Fenoglio! And I love the Black Prince! And Mo and Resa and Brianna and Violante and of course Meggie! So...it's en ensemble piece - a story for an orchestra you could say!:)

Hi, Cornelia! I've been a huge fan of yours since I was a kid. When I was 12(I am now 22) I devoured every book of yours I could get my hands on, I have 2 questions 1. In Inkspell Mo's notes that Firefox keeps glaring at the Piper when presenting the Adderhead with the book. I always wondered...was it the Piper's idea to have him write his name in the book? 2.Have you ever considered tv adaptations of your works

I read 'The Thief Lord' when I was 12 in a single sitting and instantly fell in love! It was so enchanting and magical, and made me feel like I had fallen into the story myself. My question has to do with the 'Inkheart' series, though. After everything that Meggie and Farid went through, what made you decide that they weren't right for each other in the end after all?
