How do you get inspired to write?

Jacob M. Appel I walk down to the commuter train station in my hometown and watch all of the beleaguered bankers and lawyers disembarking after their draining days in New York City offices, pushing papers in circles for the commonweal. Fear of ending up on that train is all the motivation I need to sit in front of the computer until I'm inspired or until my skin meshes with the chair.
