I became interested in organ donation years ago when I wrote SOMEWHERE BETWEEN LIFE AND DEATH. In my My Last Wish series, I wrote SOMEONE DIES,SOMEONE LIVES, that explored the topic when a girl gets the heart of a boy, and falls in love with the dead boy's brother. HEART TO HEART and the phemon of "cell memory" came when a friend's daughter was killed and the receipent of the deaceased daughter's heart and when the mother met the receipent she was astounded b/c the receipent actually exhibited some of her daughter's personality traits. The book is a tribute to the daughter. I too, am an organ donor and wish more people were.

I am writing my first book and it's called Johnny Goodguy and it's about growing up in a home of domestic violent and alcoholism and some of the stuff I went thru as a kid and how I was able to not let those events define me in life. I'm 52 and I want to share my story and hopefully inspire someone going thru that and just tell my story. What genre would you recommend I put it under?

I was just looking up a few books by Norma Fox Mazer for me to reread and I saw your name. I have spent the last 15 years trying to remember for the life of me, your name. I so wanted to touch back an re-read your books! I can't wait to catch up on your books! Planning on retiring soon?
