Rahma The first of her books that I ever read was Just Listen, and I fell in love. I've also heard the same from other people; Just Listen was their first as well. So yes, start with that.
As for her best, my favourites are The Truth About Forever, The Moon and More, and Saint Anything.

Kindra I started with Just Listen... great book. Then there is also Dreamland, also really good book but may trigger some people. Along for the Ride is by far one of my favorites and so is Saint Anything.

Hazel Hyacinth I agree with most answers. Definitely start with Just Listen. If you'd like something more lighthearted however, go for Along for the Ride.

-That Summer. This one taught me a lot of things. Like how the future is a new start and there are second chances. That things are meant to be.

Alana I have read 6 out of the 13 books written by Sarah Dessen, and I have to say, The Truth About Forever and Just Listen were probably my two favorites. Although, all of her other books that I have read were pretty good too.

Isabella Milne I'd say start with just listen or keeping the moon.
I started with Just listen and completely fell in love with her books but keeping the moon is also very good bc it is a quick read but will keep you unable to put it down until the very end. Although out of all of Sarah Dessen's books Once and For All & Along for The Ride Are my favorites.
