Write and write daily. Don't ask yourself if your early work is any good, because it isn't. That might sound harsh but it is true; the early days are something all writers just have to push through to learn their art. Just keep plugging away at it.

Do you have any plans for continuing "The Nameless War"? I LOVED that series and I´m a picky reader. IMO it´s a like a blend of the best of the Hornblower novel, with a mix of Weber and Kratman. I really like when the author have knowledge about military matters when writing about it.
