Goodreads asked Matt Shaw:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Matt Shaw When you're writing, the trick is to stop for the day at a point where you know what you will be writing next. For example; you may have a list of things you want to get written for the day. Do not write them all, stop before the end. That way, when you start the following day, you already know what you need to write and the story can flow on from there.
