I love your title. It can be read as either damage done or damaged one. Why did you choose this as your title?

Amanda Panitch Thank you! DAMAGE DONE went through a number of title changes: I originally wrote it under the title STILL THEY COME TO HAUNT ME, and it sold to Random House under the title THAT MONSTROUS THING. Both came off as sounding too paranormal/horror-ish for a contemporary thriller, so we went on the hunt for something shorter and catchier. My brilliant editor came up with DAMAGE DONE and I immediately loved not only the sound of it but the questions it raises: who did the damage, and why? Or - as you said - who is really the damaged one?

I remember emailing you years ago, maybe when I was in middle school about how much I loved Damage Done and asking so many questions because I was so excited yet shocked at how the ending went (complete plot twist). But sadly that email was deleted and I was so hurt for many weeks b/c it was the first time any author responded to my email lol. I loved the book! are you making any books that'll be wilder than that one?
