Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Scott King When I was a freshman in college I wrote a story called "Doug the Obese Dragon." The idea originated from the fact that when you see dragons in video games, movies, or books they always look so cool and I wondered what a fat dragon would be like. The short story was meh but I really liked the character of Doug. So now here I am nearly fourteen years later and I've brought back Doug and thrust him into the middle of a world shattering event. This time the story works MUCH better.
