Is it possible for a ghost to change types over time? For example from type two to one? Or from wraith to polytheism?

Jonathan Stroud Interesting question. I wondered quite a bit about that. Fundamentally, I think not - I think a ghost tends to keep to a particular form and type. The exception to this is that some ghosts gradually lose power over a long period of time, and so regress from being (say) a Spectre to become a much less defined (and less dangerous) smudge of ectoplasm, known as a Wisp.

It is a bit off topic, but I can't find the answers anywhere else on the internet - What was the difference between the Trow King and just the regular Trows, and how much of their original selves do they maintain (it seems Halli's uncle retained quite a bit of himself if he could knowingly help Halli..?) Also, was Halli a dwarf?
