Because there are too many fake five-star reviews on Amazon? I mainly skip reading them and go straight to the two-star and one-star ones that seem genuine.

I also picked it up as my free book. I'm not into Thrillers normally, but this one did capture me with the dynamics of Caitlin and her two men helping her to remember. So for me it was a 5, but then it was the first one I've read like it.
