Besides Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Little House" series, which you've mentioned as an influence, are there any other books or authors who helped influence your love of historical fiction?

No, not really. I’ve read most classics. “Little House” didn’t influence my love of historical fiction. It influenced my love of history. The vast majority of the history I know was self taught, sparked by my own interests and imagination.
Historical fiction gives me the opportunity to blend my two passions – writing and history.
