Helen
Helen asked Alex English:

Thanks for connecting with me. I've written a series of children's picture books which I am pitching to agents with a view to getting published. Do you have any helpful advice for me - other than 'don't give up the day job'?

Alex English My advice would be to keep writing, writing, writing. I find it's easy to get caught up in the pitching, but it's also important to keep writing new material. If I'm stuck and don't have any picture book ideas, I write a poem or a work on a longer piece. But I'm always writing something!
