Where to get your inspiration for your stories and characters?

Sherryl Woods All around me! With a journalism background, I've always been attuned to finding good stories. A friend might make a comment, there could be a report on the news, or I'll read about an issue that affects women and my imagination kicks into gear. Years ago Mary Higgins Clark told a group of readers and aspiring writers that she looked at situations and asked, "What if?" That question has stuck with me ever since.
