I'm reading this book, currently around page 200 (seems like 300) but I'm fairly captivated still. I just laughed out loud at the section about videophones :) My question: I'm reading (checked out from the library) on my simple touch Nook. Do I need to look at the footnotes? They are all at the end of the book and I've been ignoring them so far. Am I missing out or missing the point? Thanks for your advice.

A lot of the foot notes are insignificant. But, some major revelations are also in the foot notes. You will be missing out if you ignore all of them.
