Hi, my name is Cintia and I'm from Argentina. Being a writer is what I want the most in this world, nothing makes me happier than writing, but I'm more and more frustrated with each passing day, because I've been blocked for 3 years. And it is not that I have an unfinished story. I have NOTHING AT ALL. A blank page in front of me, that only makes me sadder... Is there a way to overcome this? How do you handle it?

Oof. That's a tough one. I learned, the hard way, that sometimes being blocked as a writer is the mind's way of telling you that something is wrong in another part of your life. Not always. But often enough that it's worth looking into.

I really enjoyed the Lady Astronaut of Mars. Her honesty in making the hardest decision of her life led me to question my own integrity. Out of curiosity, do you set out to shake people's emotional world when you begin a new story, or does that sort of deep impact develop as the characters evolve? Do you ever start off with an idea for a story and end up with something completely different?
