A great question for me might be what inspires me to write.
In 2009 I published my first book of poetry (I LOVE my poetry btw) TheLoveFix. I was on Myspace at the time and had lots of followers. One woman sent me an email and said how much she enjoyed my book and would I give her my address. I remember asking her to write hers clearly for me assuming she wanted me to autograph her copy.
When I received the book I opened it only to find that she had written a note on every single page. She talked about how her heart responded to my words. A phrase would take her breath away. A word, a photo, every thing that touched her soul and her heart, she wrote a comment. I treasure her gift. Her love nourished my soul.
To this day, when I struggle with a phrase, or the moments of insecurity we all go through, I remember the difference my words made in someone's life and I am inspired to move forward and create.
