Do you find your characters based on real people?

Rachelle Ayala Hi CK Alber, My characters are not consciously based on anyone I know. They are an amalgamation of ideas, scenes, situations, and people I experienced with a heavy dose of imagination.

I'm truly surprised at how many of my characters turn out. I live with them while I'm writing and in many cases, I feel like a method actor. After I'm finished with a book, I feel like I know them better than their therapist would.
