This is a really good series that is definitely worth reading. It also has a good balance of wit and action which are two qualities that make this series amazing.

It's not quite as good as Harry Potter. The dialog in this book is wittier, but the characters are less complex.

I would describe this as a wittier Harry Potter done more in line with Roald Dahl's humor. You can definitely tell it's meant for an early teen demographic based on the storyline, but the dialogue alone makes it worth a read. Plus, it's a concept frequently pointed at preteen boys with a female protagonist.

Not really. If you want to turn off your critical sense and just be entertained by nearly non-stop action, w/ snarky dialog in between, it's okay. But I've read better in the same vein.
