Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

John A. Read The Martian Conspiracy was inspired by a lecture I did back in 2013 on how reusable rockets will accelerate the timeline for a manned mission to Mars.

The lecture took place at the Mount Diablo Astronomical Society in Walnut Creek and is available to watch here:
