Cutie I think It is Walter. I am not making that up. I read the book a dozen times.
One time for my English class, and the other eleventh times because I wanted to. In " Beast from Air" Jack tells Ralph that he dislikes the idea of letting whoever has the conch speak. Jack tells Ralph that Bill, Simon, and Walter should not be allow to talk. Bill and Simon were introduce in " The Sound of the Shell", but Walter wasn't. Jack was always telling Piggy to shut up even going as far as abusing him. For example when he slapped him, and broke his glasses in " Painted Faces and Long Hair". Knowing Jack I can imply that he was talking about Piggy. It just makes sense. I could be wrong, but I am probably right.
