Hi there! I just finished Veiled, and in it, Alex mentions he's heard of another magic shop in Ireland. In the first book, he mentions hearing of a wizard in Chicago that advertises in the phone book. So, I'm wondering... is there a book series about a magic shop in Ireland I should be checking out? ;) Many thanks!

That one is an in-universe reference. I come up with lots of little bits and pieces of background for the Alex Verus setting, most of which don't make it into the novels, and occasionally I'll refer to one of those bits and pieces in the books. Sometimes that turns out to be foreshadowing for something that'll happen later, sometimes not!

The magical community in your books seems to be all in England or Europe in general. Are there other mage establishments in, say, the United States? or Africa? If so, Why don't they interact more with the Brit-Mages? FYI, I've only read through 'Taken' so I may be in the dark about things revealed in your later books.

Hey mate, Love the books and fully up to date, it almost reminds me of my 'dark days' of playing WOW and how quickly a battle can turn against you, especially with the fast paced casting and item usage (milliseconds counts right). Did you draw any of your inspiration from gaming such as WOW & Magic the gathering etc? cant wait for the next installment! Best, Lloyd
