Goodreads asked C.J. Matthew:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

C.J. Matthew Many of the ideas for The Colonel's Daughters quintet came from my experiences growing up in a USAF family. I made the Colonel Phillip's family bigger than my own and gave them lots more overseas assignments so each sister was born in a different country.

The origins of the Paladin Group comes from a "what if." What would happen if the TV series "Scandal" met the "A-Team"? But in my books, no one is sleeping with the President!
Also I took liberties with geography: My Georgia town of Peachwood is about where Peachtree City is located, but Devil Dog Hardware is fiction. Also my Peachwood looks a lot like historic Senoia, Georgia.
Erinville (I have future plans for that particular town) is situated where Fayetteville, GA is but I created different stores to fit my stories.
I hope readers enjoy the locations, and the flavor of small southern towns.
