What made you write the Inkheart series? Also, why did you choose the style that you write?

Cornelia Funke I think that style chooses us, Darby. It is inspired by the books I love ( and the ones that I don't) by the fact that I grew up in Germany (I still write in German) and of course you hear my translator's voice as well, when you read my books in English!
