Goodreads asked Lauren Bird Horowitz:

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Lauren Bird Horowitz I kind of don't even know how to answer this! I just don't know what I would do if I wasn't a writer. Ever since I was very small I was always writing books and poems to express myself. My mom even still has shelves and shelves of my stapled together stories which are pretty hilarious now when I go and see them (some of the spelling is amazing. I can see where I got my love for not strictly adhering to grammatical rules). For me writing is as essential as breathing-I think I would probably have a mental breakdown if I couldn't do it. So I guess that's the best thing about writing for me! It keeps me alive!
