The tiger I think she stated that the lady made her jealous.

It could have gone either way and there are arguments for both sides. I believe that the tiger was behind the door as the story mentioned the savage blood in both the king and princess. Additionally, it mentions how the princess went over the scenarios of the right/left door being opened and how she thought of him opening the door with the lady in it for much longer. I believe that the jealousy that arose in her when thinking about the accused person marrying a maiden she despises overcame her desire to prevent her former love interest from suffering. As a result, she told him to open the door that had the tiger behind it.
