My Uncle helped inspire me for the story of "The Cowgirl's Lasso". He was a gruff and rough cowboy from New Mexico who worked with horses, loved hard, and was a soft inside as a marshmallow. He always told me to be strong, be a fighter, and take no nonsense from anyone. So, it was natural that CJ would be the heroine my Uncle always told me to be.
