What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

S.Y. Palmer Write about a subject that interests and excites you. Create real characters you can imagine meeting. Write or write notes every day. Think about your story when you're not writing. Read the genre in which you're writing. Plan your story from idea to chapters to scenes. Make your dialogue as realistic as possible. Make use of tension and climax. Join an author group of some sort and immerse yourself in social media to promote your work. Create a blog or something you can 'give' to the fans you start to create.
