Goodreads asked Laurie LeClair:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Laurie LeClair If you write romance, please join Romance Writers Of America (RWA). It's a smart investment in your career. RWA offers great online workshops, info on the industry, an advocate in the industry, a national conference with amazing speakers and workshops, local and online chapters, generous members, and so much more.

For all writers, never give up. This is your passion. Go for it! If it takes you years, so what? Those years will still go by and where will you be? Filled with regret? Or happy that you're writing and getting closer to your dream?

Study your craft. There's too many great writing craft books out there for me to name here. Ask your favorite authors what book or workshop helped them. Never stop studying and learning. There are so many ways and processes to write. Try what you think might work. Quickly discard what doesn't work in your life and move on. Find what works for you.

Best of luck!
