"Soaked" came about from a joke where I imagined the film "Saving Private Ryan" being reenacted by children with water guns. From there the book evolved and broke away, becoming a story about bullying and courage while also shedding the satire tone. I'm proud of what it became, even if the tree looks nothing like the seed.
