I have just finished re-reading the Onyx Court series - its detail makes it a fabulous series to read over and over! I've also been reading Peter Ackroyd at the same time and I was wondering if you'd ever read his "London: a Biography" and what you thought of it? Its themes really reminded me of the Onyx Court books.

Marie Brennan I'm so sorry -- for some reason I didn't get the notification for this, so I only saw it when I went to answer a more recent question. To address yours: I read parts of that book, but it was more a matter of dipping in for details rather than reading it cover-to-cover. Probably should have, but by the time I picked it up I was far enough into the series that I had to focus my energy on more topic-specific research. It's still on my shelf, though!
