No, this book, used as guide, is a trap. Read Start Small, Stay Small: A Developer's Guide to Launching a Startup, real stuff there, not entrepreneurial pseudo-philosophy.

This book will not help you help you run a small business; that is management. What this book will do is inspire your thought-leadership. This book can fire you up and give you enthusiasm, but if you want to learn how to set up and run a business then there are many other books available for that. This book is entertainment, it is not a non-fiction business guide.

Sorry don't follow the rules set out in this book, this is not for a traditional business, if you want to do a business then read the E-Myth. This book is for ultra ambitious billion dollar companies, or people who want to solve the "biggest problems of the humanity" and not "personal problems or local problems" - In general bigger the problem - greater the expected profit. So if you are starting a small business, this book would do you great harm.

It is an interesting book, insightful and easy to read. There are parts that seems like "bar conversations" of Silicon Valley which I guess it is good also, but... Definitely it is NOT a guide for small business. Thiel in fact defends monopolies and big investments: this is a guide to build an unicorn (if that thing is even possible...) not to build a small business.

Nope, this is a venture-startup book, nothing to do with small business. Lots of biases in the text, lots of "couse I i did so". It's basically a summary of how money in Silicon Valley flows, nothing more.

I would recommend Phil Knight's book "The Shoe Salesman". This book is from the creator of Nike, which is incredibly motivating to do something. With her help, I started my journey to Amazon, where I am improving my skill every day and one day I plan to become a top seller in the whole world. To be honest, the book is just a motivator and I would suggest you just start doing something, and only then look for information. I did this with Amazon and looked for information here . I believe this will be the most competent approach.
