Hi Cornelia. I think most people who read Inkheart fall in love with it as I did. It is a wonderful, inventive, creative story. Do you think your ability to illustrate inspired you to choose fantasy as an author?

Dear Karen,
I am never sure what is the egg and what the hen. Did I become an illustrator because I see the world in images before I perceive the words? Do my words paint images because I am an illustrator?:) I am quite sure though that fantasy would be my genre even if I couldn't draw. I believe that the world is such a strange and fantastic thing that only fantasy enables us to write realistically about it:)

Also, I wanted to tell you that you’re one of my favourite authors! I know you’re taking part in the Ed Book Fest this year and I’m so excited to hear you talk there! I know many authors are doing signings so I was wondering if you’re doing that and if you know when? I was planning to read mirror world and ink&mirror and I needed to know Will Meggie appear or someone will talk about her or something? Please!!!
