A Goodreads user asked Francesca Zappia:

Did you draft MYU while still in college? I'm currently still a student, but I'm planning on drafting a novel over the course of two months. I certainly believe it's doable, but I was wondering if you had any tips. :)

Francesca Zappia I did a draft or two of MYU and at least four or five other books over my four years in college. Drafting a novel over two months while in school is definitely doable! My best advice is to have a plan. I used to be a pantser, but college really forced me to plot. Since I didn't always have huge chunks of time to write, I had to know exactly what I needed to get done before I sat down to write it.

Whatever homework you have to do, get it done as soon as possible. I wrote so much better when I didn't have the threat of unfinished homework hanging over my head.

If social media/the internet in general is a big timesuck for you, it could also be worth looking into programs like Freedom. They disable your internet connection for a specified period of time, and the only way to turn it back on before that is to reboot your computer. I know that's saved me a few times.

Speaking of useful programs, see also: Write Or Die. In my glory days I could do 2500 words in 30 minutes. That's like instant carpal tunnel.

I also didn't have much of a social life in college. :D Yay, introverts!

I hope this helped!
