How do you get inspired to write?

Adrian J. Smith I take out a piece of paper by hand and a nice pen, my favorite kind of pen. Then I fold the 8x11 paper in half and half again. I write on the front of it

"You're invited!"

Then I draw some sketchy little thing that makes no sense. Afterward, I open the inside and write a little note.

"Dear Inspiration,

You're invited to my apartment today. Specifically the little red couch of which I adore. I'll be awake at seven in the morning, but please don't arrive until after eight. Make sure it's before nine though because I have to work at eleven. I'll be waiting.
