Ever see Jack Nicholson in "The Shining? " LOL - no, it's not quite as bad as that. Usually, if I am writing and get stuck on a scene, I will turn to music and listen to songs that inspire the general atmosphere I am trying to create. It doesn't always help, but most of the time, if I close my eyes and allow the music to guide me, I can envision the chapter playing out in my head and that always helps me to get back to business.
