Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Brent Purvis Both "Mink Island" and "Tsunami Warning" were inspired by the people I grew up observing in SE Alaska. To say they are UNIQUE would be an understatement. I tried to capture their colorful, independent, creative, and sometimes outrageous behavior in my books while weaving in a good mystery plot. Of course, all the while paying close attention to the island way of life...float planes, boats, barges, bears, fishing, mountains, trees, etc...
