Srushty the protagonist of this novel Amir redeems himself by rescuing sorabh who was his half brother's son albeit he didn't know about it when he was a kid . As a child he sees Hassan [sorabh's father] subjected to a gruesome crime by the antagonist of the story but keeps quite about it in fact he frames hassan and his father for stealing and watches them leave , hossieni ties the knots of past and present by Amir helping sorabh in the last scene he also runs for a kite that sorabh cut as hassan used to for him ! give it a read you'll live it
