For me (and this doesn't work for everyone), I have several books working at once. I start out on one until I get stuck. Then I'll move on to the next and so on. By the time I get back to the first one my block is no longer there and I'm able to continue on with the story. Again, this is just how I do it. It's important for me to keep the creative juices flowing so this is the best way I've found to do that.
