Goodreads asked Jaime Levy:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Jaime Levy I'm not a real writer and never was aspiring to do so. However, I did want to tell the stories from my years of working in software design. So I hired a real editor to teach me how to write, I locked myself in a library for 4 hours a day x 5 times a week x 9 months and constantly delivered her chapter sections to review. If you aspire to be a writer, make sure you know the cost (financially and emotionally) it will take to actually finish the book. If I had known now what it would cost/take I would have never started the project. Probably would have make a documentary instead (less isolating). ;?
