I think increased depth can best be achieved through dialogue. Try having a conversation with your characters. Ask them questions and see what their responses are. Then you will get to know what they believe in and how they think.

Hello Mr. Delaney, I have a project to do in school about my favorite author and what techniques they use in their (book/books). I was wondering what are some of the techniques that you use in your stories. Maybe the top three. I have a question as well. Do you know where I can get the Wulf's Bane book. I looked on Amazon and they don't sell it their? I would really like to read the next book. Thank you.
