Getting inspired to write is not usually a problem. Stopping ideas from popping into my head while I'm supposed to be working on the next one in a series is the problem.
I write down ideas in my list of plot ideas, and then I drag them out once in a while and see whether I can make them work. Sometimes not. Sometimes it takes a couple of goes: Aneka took three or four tries to get to where she is now.
On a more general basis, I write before I like it so being inspired to sit down and write is not usually a problem. Sometimes stopping is. On my "2 week break from writing over Christmas" one year I wrote 20,000 words.

I've re-read DeathWeb five or six times now and one question is sticking with me... What happened with Grant's custom gynoid? Future book plot point or casualty of the editorial process? On a side note, I just finished reading Criminal Minds this morning and it was excellent. I am already eagerly awaiting the next installment of that series!
