Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

S.A. Softley I was on a flight when I started writing the first chapter, not really knowing where the story would go. After that, the novel became a series of "what-ifs." What if a zombie-type virus hit northern Canada? What would the differences be? What if the main character, a generally capable guy, was claustrophobic and continually had to push himself through situations that would aggravate his fear? What if his the memory of his emotionally abusive father followed him through the deserted streets? What if... Well, I don't want to give any more away!
